The Action Center to End World Hunger will be located in Lower Manhattan's Battery Park City, in a 4,000 square foot space in the heart of the World Financial Center and near both the Irish Hunger Memorial and the memorial for the World Trade Center.

The Action Center will occupy a section of the ground floor of a new residential development being constructed, alongside a branch of the NY Public Library, and Poets House, a comprehensive poetry library.

Reclaiming History

New Orleans, Louisiana —The Action Center To End World Hunger will receive a Platinum Rating from the U.S. Green Building Council, in part, for its use of sustainable goods and materials as part of its construction. Roger Burks, Mercy Corps' Senior Web Writer, recently visited a deconstruction site in New Orleans, where recycled materials are being prepared for use in the Action Center.
